Royal Canin Breed Specific Dog Food Royal Canin developed Breed Health Nutrition to provide food for dogs with specific sensitivities, using their in-depth knowledge to create a diet perfectly matched to each breeds' needs. They launched the first ever breed food - for the Yorkshire Terrier - in 2002, and now have dedicated foods for nineteen breeds of dog. All their breed food is special on the outside as well as the inside. The kibble shape, size and texture has been studied and adapted for each breed, which is why Yorkshire Terriers have a special flaky kibble to promote good oral hygiene, while the Labrador Retriever has a kibble with a hole in the middle to help slow down the speed of eating.
